Text:
An attempt by 40 or so persons to substitute , the BOC examination in place
of the Florida O and P licensure exam was rejected by the Florida House of
Representatives Health care committee today. However, a compromise
amendment ,reluctantly supported by the FAOP, was passed to extend the time
limitations an additional 2 years for these individuals to pass the
existing O and P state exam. The ABC is the contracted group that provides
the examination in Florida to determine competency .
