Hi All
I have just been presented with 6 diabetic clients, all whom have individual plantar ulcerations at the usual places, calcaneus, 1st mtp, base 5th met etc. The surgeon would like to provide them with the Aircast Pneumatic walker with the hope that unloading the plantar area of the foot will help to speed the process. I have read the reports and it seems to indicate that this is the case but I'm interested to know if anyone has had any real life experience with a group of patients (clients ,<g>) like this. As these pneumatic walkers are fairly expensive wholesale I don't want to provide 6 and then find that the results are only mediocre.
Any information would be appreciated.
