Amputated. Transplanted hand of Clint Hallam, 50, wily ex-con who lost his
original hand in prison, then vied for and received the first hand
transplant in 1998. He failed to stick with anti-rejection drugs and had
the extremity removed in a hush-hush surgery in London. The hand has been
sent to doctors in France for examination.
