Swim Leg with locking liner...

Text:

Good Evening to all,

I have a bk patient who want's to start swimming in his pool at the home he
just purchased. He is wearing a an Alpha with pin going into a Century 22 PIN
locking mechanism, to endo components , to a sureFlex foot.

My thought is to go with an alps clearline suspension sleeve that would go
over proximal end of socket and up onto thigh over prox. edge of Alpha. Then
build up around button so the pressure of sleeve wont push/release the
button. But at the same time keep whole socket water tight. Then go with the
LA Active ankle.

I was wondering if anyone else has built swim legs with the locking liner
suspension?
It just seems that if you did not keep the socket watertight, the whole
prosthesis would want to slip off when water got between liner and skin???

Please voice any ideas you might have on this one. HOW WOULD YOU DO IT??

I will post responses..
