Hello! Everyone,
First of all, I would like to apologize to everyone if this post
falls outside the domain of proper use for this list serve. And I would
also like to apologize to anybody that has no interest in this post,
for I am just cluttering up his or her mailbox.
My name is Alan, and I am a 24-year-old O&P technician, and board
eligible Pedorthist currently employed in the State of Texas.
I have over 3 years of experience in the O&P field, and have been
involved in many different aspects of my current company.
I am currently looking to further my experience by seeking
employment with a more diverse O&P facility. I would like to remain in
the State, but would be more then willing to relocate to any part of
the Country.
I am very interested in working directly under a CPO/CO or other
type of talented Practitioner.
A summary of my experience is as follows:
Board Eligible Pedorthist (Test in May or November)
Two years of Orthotic experience (Casting, Fabricating, and Assisting in
fitting room).
Six months of prosthetic experience (Fabricating only).
Certified Orthopedic shoe Technician.
Application in process for R.T.P.O. in the State of Texas.
Application in works for BOC Orthotist certification.
One year of Doctor marking/detail experience.
Very strong with computers and spreadsheets, also do all ordering of O&P
supplies for current Employer via computer/Internet.
Currently finishing out Bachelors degree so that I may attend O&P school
sometime in the future.
In summary, I have an overall strong knowledge base, but have had
no way to assess my skills being that I have worked for the same
facility and practitioners for the duration of the three and one half
years that I have been in the profession.
I am very loyal, honest, and motivated. And would opt to work for a
facility that could offer further honing of my skills, verses just
financial stature.
If you have any need for someone with the above
stated qualifications to work in your facility, please email me at the
address given below so that I may send you a complete resume.
Also, as stated in the subject line, I have a close friend that is
a LO in the State of Texas, and is currently seeking employment in the
same. He has over 15 years of experience, and is very professional. If
you have any need for his services, please let me know quickly, for he
will not be on the market long.
Thank you,
Alan
