I am working on an 80 hour curriculum for Orthotic Fitter to meet the
requirements of the Florida License. 40 hours will be spent on orthotics
and 40 hours on fiberglass fracture casting (which under the law is also
considered an orthosis) to train a well rounded fitter that can work as an
orthopedic technologist in an Orthopedic Surgeon's office or an orthotic
fitter in other various working environments. The course will be take one
month (20 hours per week in teaching lab, 10-15 hours a week at a learning
site, O&P shop, ER, OR, Ortho Office, etc.) in Clearwater, Florida. Tuition
($4,000) will include lodging, meals & all teaching materials. Students will
also receive training (optional) in basic radiology skills to pass the
Florida limited xray license exam. All students must have some medical
background, EMT, CMA, etc. Only 6 students per class, 4 classes per year.

My question is. Would these graduates find positions in Florida at O&P
shops?
