While a few people are professing a lovefest for AOPA's successful legislative effort the fact remains that AOPA rolled over when leaned on by other allied health professions. Compromise is an important aspect in any negotiation but not at the expense of diminishing the value of educational standards most of P&O have worked so hard for. I believe that this legislation will be cited as precedent to be used against state efforts to produce meaningful O&P licensing with appropriate educational standards. One can only imagine how resolute AOPA's staff will be during the negotiated(?) rulemaking phase.
