Does anyone know of any product, drug etc that can offer any relief from
severe phantom pain? I am working with a woman who is an AK and has been
having alot of trouble. She is approximately 2 months postop. Her amputation
is the result of vascular problems which she states that her physician feels
originated from post polio syndrome. She currently is on Neurontin (sp?). I
do not know what the current dosage is, but it is gradually being increased
as is the norm.
I measured her yesterday for her 1st prosthesis. She has been in a shrinker
for app 10 days, which did not offer any relief. I am hoping that prosthetic
fitting will help, but any further suggestions would be helpful. If anyone
needs more info to offer help, just ask.
