I would exspect nothing less than that response from you Stan. I think the
point I was trying to make is that while our credentialing bodys are our
roots and are very near and dear to our hearts our profession is headed
toward a licensuring process in all states and this petty bickering over who
is credenctialed by who will soon be a mute point. The most recent
information that I pulled off of the Ways and Means commity would indicate
that the smartest route to O&P certification will soon be PT school where you
can get your PT license and your O&P certification in one foul swoop. I've
locked horns with you before over other issues Stan and its not something I
enjoy so I would rather avoid it. I may have chosen the wrong route but what
I would most like to see is a little more respect and professionalism between
us as colleques rather than disrespect between us as competitors, us being
O&P practisioners as a hole
Most Sincerely,
Robert S. LO
P.S.
I just paid my dues to BOC to extend my national certification for
another year. I did that because I did not forget were I came from in this
profession but the fact is I do not need to be overseen by a national body
when I am overseen by state law and legislation which requires more
continueing education than my credetialing body ever did.
