Pam I agree. One of the the more important benefits to all, patient,
practitioner, and the health care system, is that with the requirement of a
state license to practice the health care profession of O&P, not only are
consumers better protected but its enactment will eventually put an end to
the ridiculous alphabet soup wars of years past.
It's easy to get good players. Gettin' 'em to play together, that's the
hard part . Casey Stengel
United, TEXAS O&P LICENSED HEALTH CARE PROFESSIONALS, could now effectively
lobby the state government to expand Medicaid O&P benefits for adults. This
should now be the common focus for the profession in Texas.
It seems Texas did not follow Florida's Medicaid O&P expansion precedent
established after their successfull regulation effort three years ago.Up
until regulation Medicaid O&P benefits were not available for adults.
The Barr Foundation recieves many applications for funding assistance from
Texas amputee adult resident because of the current lack of coverage. What
gives Texas? You are supposed to be the biggest and the best!!!!
