Seasons Greetings to all,
Hope all is well! Need your help.
We have been using latex tubing for many years (not on myelo patients) as a
protective measure when removing plaster cast impression from the patients
extremity. The flexibility of this tubing as well as its durability has
merit, however the potential hazard if exposed to a patient with a latex
allergy diminishes the benefits. What other alternative do you use to
prevent the cast saw from cutting the patient?
Sincerely,
Ed Skewes
PS The vinyl tubing we tried does not hold up and is difficult to contour
on the dorsum of small feet.
