Urgent: Capitation

Text:

We have refused to get directly involved with capitation, because when
you do, you are becoming the one taking the financial risk, which is supposed
to be the insurance company's job. When more expensive services are
required, WE are the ones taking the financial burden although we have little
input into the decisions.
I feel that because that the costs of our services vary so much and that
our profits and the quantity of clients we see are too small to consider
capitation. The O&P chains might be doing it, but it costs them to do the
calculations while the capitation agreement is really designed to save the
insurance company money.
