The Barr Foundation is requesting a certified and or licensed prosthetist to
travel to the Central region and capital of Tegucigalpa in Honduras Central
America. We prefer the applicant be bilingual and have an active and current
passport.

The primary purpose of the trip is to assist in the evaluation of the
present O&P treatment infrastructure and the local prosthetic facility to
better determine establishing a pilot project for the prosthetic
rehabilitation for 12 b/k amputees in the near future. On this trip we would
also obtain a wish list of components and prosthetic supplies for delivery
on a subsequent trip.

In Honduras,we will be escorted by local foundation coordinators and local
government officials.
The applicant will be traveling with me, via non stop air from and return
Miami International.
All expenses will be paid for i.e. travel, food and hotel lodging.

Visits to the United Sates Embassy, the local hospital, prosthetic clinic
and with local officials will be on the scheduled beforehand. We may also
be evaluating local prosthetists and amputee candidates candidates for the
pilot program which would be scheduled next month. We would like to schedule
the trip as quickly as possible for two (week) days.
Please a-mail or telephone 561-394-6514 as soon as possible if you have an
interest.
