Thank you to all who responded so quickly! Here's what I got:
Joan
Julius Zorn (also known as JUZO) has a garment that contains latex but every
strand is covered in nylon or silk. It is used especially for people
allergic to latex rubber. It is a very good product that can be a little
pricey, but is the only alternative that I have found to patients allergic
to
latex. The product name is Varin Soft-in and the Varin Soft-in Silk. They
come BK and AK--off the self and custom. The Number at Juzo is
1800-222-4999.
Good luck.
Joan -
Knit Rite BK shrinkers and Compressogrip shrinkers are latex free (the
compression comes from Lycra spandex). The above knee styles do have latex
in
the waist belt, FYI.
Joan, talk to Mark Smith at Knit Rite. I believe some of their Cool Max
material may be latex free. The other possibility would be to use an APLS
or
Iceross Liner. Expensive but will give you the compression.
Joan,
Jim Smith Sales stump schrinkers are all latex free
Consider tubigrip type. They have large sizes.
We use Compressogrip (from SPS) and I just checked the materials and it is
made 92% polyester and 8% rubber. Not sure if this is going to of any help.
Bell-Horn. . . .from Circle City . . . maybe. . . .
Thanks again to everyone- I have lots of leads. Looks like Knit-Rite was my
winner. Thanks again to everyone for such quick and immediate responses!
That's exactly what I needed!
