We presently have a 6 month boy who is a congenital RBE amputee. The doctor
and I have discussed the many fitting options the child has for a
prosthesis. The options wwere presented to the parents. The parents want the
child to be fitted with a prosthesis and have indicated to us, after they
were presented with all of the options, that they do not have a preference.
The doctor and I have discussed the case between ourselves at length.

At this point, we would like some suggestions from others. We have discussed
an Infant's mitt and we can't decide whether to use the small or the large
size mitt on the child. Another one of the options is to fit the child with
a standard terminal but not have it activated until the time that the child
can operate the cable. In a case such as this, which fitting option is best?
