To all those subscribed to the list, I would like you to be aware that
ORTHOLETTER, which is a joint publication of the International Society of
Prosthetics for Prosthetic and Orthotics (ISPO) and the World Health
Organization (WHO) is now available on the World Wide Web.
The July 2000 issue is available to view or download at a PDF file at -
< <URL Redacted>>
Ortholetter may be freely reviewed, abstracted, reproduced or translated, in
part or in whole, but not for sale or use in conjunction with commercial
purposes. The views expressed within this newsletter do not necessarily
reflect those of WHO and ISPO.
Ortholetter's target group are those rehabilitation professionals working in
low income countries, who for the most part have very limited access to
information on new developments in the prosthetics and orthotics field. Due
to the costs that are incurred in producing and distributing such a
publication those previously on the mailing lists from more industrialized
countries will not receive a copy of ORTHOLETTER. It is hoped these
individuals will use the website set up to obtain a copy. Any concerns
related to this matter should be directed to the Editor at the e-mail
address indicated.
The next issue of Ortholetter is planned for publication in Dec 1999/Jan
2000.
NOTE TO ALL PAST RECIPIENTS OF ORTHOLETTER
The July 2000 is the first issue of ORTHOLETTER since May 1997 and the
database for our subscription list is likely out of date in many areas. All
subscribers who were on the past mailing list and have moved or relocated,
should contact me via e-mail. This will ensure that we have your new
address.
