Colleagues,
I mentioned in an earlier post about putting a ring of PVC coated PeLite as
an o ring type seal in AK pin suspension sockets with an Alpha or Coyote
designs shuttle lock.
I don't limit this to pin suspension sockets only. It is currently working
well with a
320lb guy whose past total suction sockets were always losing suction.
I am now experimenting with using sticky backed window insulation
(a foam 3/8 to 5/8 in thick and 1-2 inches wide) and then covered by vinyl.
I am thinking that may provide a thicker but even more conforming seal .This
or an equivalent may be easier to obtain depending on where you are located
in the world
Perhaps a coveredgel material ring might also work.
