Dear All,

Hello to you all, and hope everyone is enjoying the Sydney Olympics
2000. Wonder if the Paralympics will be telecasted too? That could be a
great motivator to many around the world.

anyway, I hope to get some help here.

I have a 21 year old, Gentleman (Transtibial amputee) who wants to take
part in social basket ball, some voleyball and running. ( he has been
advised by his Doctor to lose weight as well as keep fit, Which at the
moment I think that he is doing fine, apart from the fact that his
prostheses isn't made for such high activity.)This gentleman weights
about 70kgs, is about 5 foot 11 inches, and is active. His amputaiton is
a result of a mpotor vehiucle accident.

His mpt to floor on the sound side is 50cm. Stump length is 21cm which
leaves me 29cm work with (about 25cm of this will be taken up by a
Variflex/Icon system, with the female pyramidal prolite connectors. I
hope to use a Iceross system with this prostheses. Is this possible? I
have the feeling that the prostheses may be too long.

Can some one advise me on a suitable shuttle lock to use?
I am trying to look for a low profile shuttle lock which can be use with
Vaccumm-formed thermoplastic sockets;
or if there is, other more suitable components which will be more
beneficial.

Thanks in Advance and look forward to your replies,

Joseph Lim
