My 25 year old stepdaughter has had RA for approximately 2 years. She is in
the early stages of ulnar drift. We are from the Rochester Michigan area
and are looking for resources to deal with the subject. In particular we
are seeking leading edge expertise in dynamic splinting to stabilize MP
joints in the early stages of drift. The intent is to slow progression of
joint damage due to mechanical stress. To date we are not satisfied with
the standard wraps, resting splints and post surgical dynamic splints
generally available. Any reference to instituions or practitioners who are
pushing the envelope in both materials and design would be most
appreciated.

P.S. She is already using a wide variety of mechanical aids to reduce
stress. This is in addition to behavioral changes where ever possible.
