David,
Thank you for asking the question and mentioning the Academy's effort to
create an online graphics library. I would like to take the opportunity to
solicit others for the use of their O&P slides and illustrations. The
library has not gone live yet because we have not received enough
contributions from practitioners to make it worthwhile . . .yet. The
framework is ready; there's just nothing in the inventory . . . yet. That's
where we need your help.
This is an appeal to all practitioners to clean out your desk drawers and
your files, and send us your slides or illustrations. We can accept them as
slides, electronically, or as hard copy (illustrations). This concept is
too valuable to lose to apathy. Send 5 slides . . . or 50 slides . . . or
more. Your fellow practitioners will appreciate it and you will be
contributing to the good of the O&P profession. You can send them directly
to me at <Email Address Redacted> .
Thanks. (I'll get off my soap box now)
