Dear Colleagues:
I would like to ask your opinion and to know your experience with a case
like this that came to me this morning:
A baby boy, with 10 months old, was born with a congenital problem of the
total abscense of the left lower limb, with no femur, tibia nor any
structure below his left pelvis. The Docotr and the family want me to fit
this baby as son as possible, for exemple right now. He looks like a
perfect patient with a hip disarticulation amputation.
What is your experience in this case ? When would you start fiiting him and
with what kind of components? Suggestions??
Thanks in advance for your input.
Sincerelly,
Jairo Blumenthal
