Greetings fellow list members.
I have a pt who had a partial amputation of his right nostril in a
car accident April 2000. He had a flap reconstruction over the area on
13/04/2000. The trouble now is, the formation of a stenosis. I have been
requested to manufacture obdurators of increasing size in order to enlarge
the nare.
Has anyone got any ideas on how I can do this??? At the moment I have a
nostril hole with a diameter of +- 5mm to work with. The added problem is
that this pt is an African patient & so has a fairly flat nose with a wedge
shape nare. The obdurator must therefore be more wedge shape laterally as
opposed to a more round shape.
I look forward to hearing from anyone with some interesting ideas. Thanks in
advance.
