Hello everyone,
Today is a great day to schedule your monthly computer virus check. I
recommend doing this regularly, and ideally buying a program that
automatically guards against viruses and checks your system every time you
reboot.
Today's update.
The last virus that came through was a type that is hidden in the email
itself, and not an attachment. This type of virus only comes in the HTML
type mails, which are the kind that have colorful type and backgrounds. I
am not suggesting that this type of mail is bad to use for your personal
use, but it will not be allowed to work through oandp-l anymore.
The affected email was sent on July 19 and had the subject line Hanger.
The system has just been tightened down to prevent HTML style emails from
going through oandp-l.
This type of virus will affect some people and not others.
We are doing everything that we can to keep the system clean. As Chris Lake
mentioned in his posting, this is everyone's responsibility, so please use
protection on your system and try to keep it as clean as possible. I will
continue to watch the gate as closely as possible, and do whatever is
necessary to keep the viruses out.
Thank you.
