I received this query from a Peter Gale I wonder if anyone out there can
help him. His emial address is : <Email Address Redacted>
I would appreciate any help that you could give me:-
I have an 70 year old patient who has had a through knee amputation for
many years. She wants single axis external
hinges, but as she has had a fall, I have insisted that she have a 4-bar
linkage knee because it would be safer. I sent her
to a colleague who said that she could not find any evidence that 4-bar
was safer than ext hinges. Does any one have
any evidence on relative safety, or evidence of lack of difference.?
