Seems to me there are several disproportionate egos at work on this topic.
But, they (Virtualgait network guys) seem to be trying to carve out a niche
in a VERY, VERY difficult market.
I wholly support their intentions to substantiate orthotic outcomes(based
upon website review). This is LONG overdue for this field. Educational
programs should pay attention.
Looks to me like they may be on a good track with outcomes data collections
strategy. AAOP, AOPA, ABC, SOGI, NCAAOP, NAAOP nor anyone else has done so.
Hopefully they will disseminate their data for peer review?
I also hope they can be respectful of local community standards of practice
when they do Gait Clinics to attract patients and review other clinicians
works, many perhaps done under adverse conditions, both clinical and
financial?
