For those that care to keep up on what the big one is doing, here are some
interesting developments...

1 - SPS and Seattle Orthopedic Group are on the block. Van Sabel and
Richard Stein both confirmed that Hanger is looking at the idea of selling
off their distribution and manufacturing divisions. They have been
approached and are talking about terms. One of the requirements of the deal
would be that Hanger would receive a substancial discount on purchases from
the buyer on a go-forward basis.

2 - Richard Stein said that much of the non Hanger industry has pulled
business away from SPS and Seattle Orthopedic Group because of their
relations with Hanger.

3 - Hanger's manufacturing and distribution divisions operated at a loss for
this last reported quarter because of the discounts they are giving to the
Hanger offices. This admission from Richard Stein confirms that these
companies are providing goods and services to HPO offices below their cost.
