Dear Mr. Butts, RTO

I feel your diatribe is quite unnecessary.
There was nothing demeaning in my reply to you. The clinician,
technician relationship is one of mutual respect.

It would be irresponsible in my opinion for a clinician to put a technician
in a clinical role. Not only is this potentially dangerous to the patient.
It also puts the facility and the technician at litigious risk. It is
disrespectful of a clinician to burden a technician in this fashion.
It also demonstrates flagrant disregard to the patient and the
profession as a whole.

We now know from your reply this is a pediatric C.M.T. patient. Unless the
parents are personal acquaintances or the clinician has shared this
information
with you; I can not see how you would be privy to this information. Do you
have
direct contact with this patient and/or parents at your place of work? Are
you
expected to work in a clinical capacity?

Patient support groups are valuable resources for people with chronic
conditions.
They also play a useful role disseminating information. Recently an
associate
colleague was asked to contribute an article to the CMT Newsletter regarding
orthoses.
The request was made by CMT International. A valuable organization for
people afflicted
with this disease.

David,

Let first start by thanking you for a quick response to my questions. I am
twice honored, because I have been answered by one of four people in the
known universe that can make a double helix brace. Let also thank you for
reminding me that as a RTO I am not fit to walk in your shadow.

Price off base I got the price off a piece of paper from your company with
a price written on it who wrote I can not say. Any way it is the price told
to the parent I am speaking to about braces.

unscrupulous Certifies The parent got the info from a support group for
people with CMT. I hope you are not using the trust of the people in a
support group to market your services. That would be in very bad taste!

I best of all like your closing remarks
Who is your Clinician? I am not the property of a Clinician! So I can
participate in the list server I just need to make sure I don't question
something that your do!

I don't mind the flash light pointed at me do you?

Your humble and undeserving Technician

Jim ButtsRTO
