I am starting to gather information for my resident
research. My idea is to compare two different styles
of thoracic pads in the Boston brace. One pad style
pushes from the lateral side as well as from the
posterior for derotation. The other pad style pushes
only laterally. It is my understanding that the
lateral pad is sufficient to align the spine and is
obviously more comfortable to the patient. It would
be a retrospective study based on information from
patient charts and x-rays. I am wondering if anyone
has experience with both styles of pad and why you
have chosen to use one or the other. Thank you in
advance for your responses. Zach Harvey
