This is a terminal device used for small children who have arm amputations.
This CAPP is used mainly by prosthetists on the West Coast since it was
developed at the UCLA CAPP program. I guess that this terminal device never
became widely used because of its appearance, which is hard to describe and
it is designed with small children in mind. Check the Hosmer page to see the
CAPP. My knowledge of the CAPP is very limited, but it has been discussed on
this list from time to time. Maybe others on the list with more experience
can provide you with a better explanation.
