Hi all,
I recently completed a challenging fitting of a trans-tibial amputee who had allergies (confirmed by a dermatologist) to a number of materials often used in the fabrication process. This client is allergic to contact cement, many foams used for end pads, and acrylic resin sockets.
I would be interested to hear from anyone who has fit a client who had specific allergies, confirmed by a dermatologist, to materials commonly used in prosthetic/orthotic devices.
Thanks,
Jocelyn Fawcett CP(c)
