Hello everyone on the list,

Haven't been emialing much as time is always too short.....I wouldn't
,mind a little help from all out there. I haven't yet encountered such
cases as below and am in need of a little confidence boost and more so
in guidance.

1)I have a 55 year old gentleman with a transtibial -transfemoral
amputation. He is generally fit and healthy. I am thinking of
prescribing a multiflex-foot (endolite) for the transtibial side and a
locking knee (O/bock) for the right side. Does anyone have any
experience in this and what was their outcome?
.
2)I have a 38 year old lady who recently had to undergo an amputation (
trans femoral) following a Motor vehicle accident. She is using a Total
Knee, with a suction socket and a vari-flex foot. Recently, she has
been complaining of severe foot pain and upon examing her gait and sound
limb, she was found to have very marked tibial bowing. Is there a way to
counter this? in addition to that, her sound leg goes into
Hyperextension, and this causes the effectivel limb length to change.
When she is walking, the leg doesn't go into hyperextension but when is
standing still, the leg goes in to hyperextendsion and tyhus shortens
the sound side.
Hope some one helps me on this aspect.

Thanks so Much
