Dear list,
I am an orthotist working primarily with neurological patients -
childern and adults -
Why are AFO's made at 90 degrees ??? Why isnt the angle determined by
the ankle joint or by the knee joint ? Cant we affect a hyperextending
knee via the ankle joint if it is in some dorsi flexion?
I would appreciate your experience but even more than that references
that suggest what angle, when, and why.
