Dear List Members,

strangely (but not so much) I've received just _one_ answer to my
question about the number of hand amputation during last year, the
cause of amputation, the kind of prosthesis they wear, ecc. (thank
you Gerry):

> W. Bennet Wilson in Limb Prosthetics gives the following
> percentages:
> Shoulder Disarticulation-1%
> Above Elbow-2%
> Elbow Disartic-.2%
> Below Elbow-4.4%
> Wrist Disarticulation-.7%
> Partial Hand-2%
> This is among all amputees in the US. Most countries have an
> amputation rate at about 1/1000.
> I could not find percentages on cause but most are trauma.

Well, that's all.

        Best Regards,
        Massimiliano
