So many people fitting o&p these days. The doctors acountant may have
pushed the Doc to include every billable possible. Do you think they like
doing it? How many times have they changed there minds? PTs have been
billing and fitting kosand fos for a long time. A few may go beyond that
but it cant be a career. HCFA has been going after fraud but wants to
allow bidding . Is the local pharmacy or dme going to provide resposible
o&p?The FDA may not allow us to provide simple helmits. OK- who came up
with the original list of prosthetic codes to be permissable at SNFs.Im
sure I could go on. My ? is what are these people thinking? O&P is my
field of choice Its a great job. I feel confidant that when the dust
settles and the people who like to play these silly games are done Ill
still a have lab and a job to do. The bottom line is O&P has been and will
always be the most versatle segment of the medical community.It had to be
