Hello...
Couple things..
1) We have just tried a fabric transfer onto co-poly for the first time
today. We ordered it from Cascade, but beleive it is made by Atlanta
International (specifically the light rainbow fabric). We followed
the directions to a T... heat the plastic, apply fabric for 5 minutes,
then mold with fabric on the plastic. It looks great, but after one
transfer, the fabric is done...the company claims that you can use the
fabric two or three times...not the case in our shop. Any suggestions
or tips to get two moldings out of one piece of fabric?????
2) We have used the transfer paper quite a bit as well. I finally got
sick of the silicone fumes, so I tried it without silicone, and it works
even better without silicone!!!!
Just heat the plastic as usual, lay the paper on the plastic, rub down
for 10 seconds, place back in the oven for no more than 15 more seconds
and peel off! No fumes, better finish (no filmy stuff), and sharper
image! The longer you leave the paper on, the darker the colour, up to
a maximum of about 30 seconds...after 30 seconds the paper tends to
stick to the plastic....give it a try, your lungs will thank you!
Will post any tips on the transfer fabric....
Thanks
