Hello to all,
This case is about a 16 year male with an operated C5 Lesion due to a
severe fall.
The Neuro-Surgeon had opinioned that the case may not walk ever again.
Post-Op one month the patient showed movement in his right leg.
Physiotherapy was started for the 2nd month and is on as of now.
8 months post-op he was given a left leg KAFO. His right side is relatively
stronger that the left and this right leg has weight bearing function now
with out any external aid. His left legs hip adductors are relatively
strong.
The problem is his left leg. When the patient tries to walk in a walker and
puts weight on his right leg, the left leg is automatically draged close to
the right leg in _I orientation. There is not enough space between the
two legs.
The patient cannot situp or stand on his own.
Please advice an orthotic remedy to correct this problem.
Regards
Shilpa.
