BK Socket interface

I need your expertise.
I am currently consulting on a legal case which involves a dispute on
what would be the correct interface to use for a new transtibial amputee.
The amputee is a middle aged male, medium height and build who lost his leg
secondary to chronic infection due to trauma. His intent was to go back to
work as a blue collar worker;
possibly having contact with salt water
His residual limb was well healed but had an irregular shaped distal end and
had had several months of slow healing due to infection. One orthopedist
recommended a revision prior to fitting but the amputee was fit with a
prosthesis anyway.
What would be your recommendation be for a socket liner for this initial
prosthesis? Any responses would be most appreciated.
Thank you,
