You have pointed out that there seems to be much confusion in the language
of both legislative proposals.
This is understandable since no explanation of either nor information
comparing both have been provided from the national office to its
members.Consumers should be enlightened as well to the content to consider
providing support.
In your position as the executive director for AOPA,you have stated that:
ABC practitioners and Academy members support the Harkin proposal
Perhaps, for the record, you could provide the main differences to both and
help clear up any confusion!?
The president of the Academy has indicated,on the listserve, that AOPA has
been delegated the responsibility of initiating legislative policies for the
Academy members. It would be appropiate for the AOPA director or the
national office's legislative counsel, Martha Rinker, to focus on the
differences for the membership.
