Mr Trower;
My appologies if you took my comments as a personal attack on you or your
abilities. They were in no way ment to be taken that way. Many
manufacturers,such as Knit-Rite and Truform, have made Leather ankle
guantlets that have been available for over twenty years or longer. And yes
I may have gotten Custom Fit and Custom Made confused.
I do,however , maintain that my original comment about many Orthotists of
today do not know how to actually make something. When I recieve an Rx for a
Custom Ankle Splint I still begin the fabrication process by taking an
impression simular to an AFO mold and fabricate the leather splint to that
mold.
