skin finishing for trans-femoral prosthetics....

Title:

skin finishing for trans-femoral prosthetics....

Text:

I prefer to fabricate 2 piece cosmetic finishing on trans-femoral
prosthetics, however some components do not lend themselves to this type of
design... The foam body arrangement immediately changes the
flexion/extension settings on the prosthetic knee, and often when the patient
sits, the foot remains airborne!! not a pleasant sight.... Add a cosmetic
skin finish on the outside, and the prosthetic knee becomes even less mobile..

Any suggestions in minimizing this problem??
What cosmetic skin systems produce the least resistance on knee movement??

Thanks in advance
