There is a client in our practice who is 10 y/o and is a traumatic RBE
amputee. The client has been RBE amputee since age 3. The individual was
fitted shortly after the accident, at age 3. The fitting was done in another
state. The child was fitted with a CAPP terminal and has used this terminal
ever since.
I am in a quandary, as I feel the individual should change from the CAPP
terminal to a more practical terminal. The parents won''t hear of a change in
TD's. The child gets along very well using the CAPP, but it is apparent that
the child is rapidly outgrowing the CAPP.
I would appreciate any suggestions in this matter.
