Hello everyone,
Before anything gets out of hand, here are a few quick points
to help clarify some issues that have begun to surface.
Cross Posting- Cross posting your own personal submissions
to other listservers is alright to do. Cross posting others
comments to other listservers should be done courteously with
the permission of the original author. Although listservers are
public forums, they are open by subscription which should
imply some level of responsibility and accountability. Subscriptions
to listservers are a privilege, and not a right. Please
govern yourselves accordingly.
Private Responses- With over 1600 subscribers it is critical to
minimize the number of public responses to questions in order to
maintain a streamlined system. Be careful when responding to be
sure that you response is going DIRECTLY TO THE AUTHOR and not to
the entire list. This is especially important when one specifically
requests private responses.
Removal from List- Instructions to remove yourself from the list
are at the bottom of every single message that is published through
oandp-l. Included is an email address to contact if you have
difficulties. Removing yourself from the list is just as easy
as posting to the list. Do not post public requests to be removed.
When this is done, 1600+ people get your request, and only one of
us can actually remove you from the list. If you would really
like the assistance of 1600 people, then ask... they may all
be able to resend you the instructions. Otherwise, please try
to do it yourself first, then contact me directly if you cannot
figure it out. There are sometimes settings on your system
that will make it more difficult to unsubscribe. My email address
is <Email Address Redacted>
I hope this helps clarify things for everyone. If you have additional
questions, please let me know.
Have a happy holiday season!
