With this in mind it would be interesting to know, and the NO may have this
information, how many ABC certified practitioners see patients full time, see
patients part time (50% of time), and how many do not see patients.

Also what percentage of the O&P patient population are seen by non-ABC
certified practitioners.

There appears to be a trend for ABC certified practitioners to go into
management and leave direct patient care.

At the same time we are reading reports that in next millennium there will be
a shortage of qualified individuals to handle the increase in O&P patients.
AOPA reports that by the year 2020 there will be a 46% increase of
individuals in need of O&P services.
