Actually, almost all kinds of the parts of prostheses for lower-limb
amputees are financially supported by the government, but financial
suppport of upper-limb prostheses is strictly restricted in Japan.
For example, electric or myoelectric hand is not supplied by ordinal
procedures. To improve this situation for the upper limb amputees in
Japan, it is necessary to gather information on financial support
system of artificial limb by government in the other countries.
Please inform me anything on above things. I will post the summary of
replies.
