Re: Your question shrinker

A shrinker is an elstic tubular sock (prefabricated or custom made, including
textile plus rubber or latex threads) that provides, when applied on a
stump, constant radially directed force and thus assists in reducing edema.
The edema reduction in turn shrinks the volume of the residual limb (stump) -
thus the term shrinker. A shrinker belongs to the family of medical hosiery.
