Title:
Rieters Desease
Text:
My step son has just been diagnosed with Rieters Syndrome or disease. His
symptoms are severe, nearly debilitating pain in the joints of the feet that
is not consistently centered in one spot. He has been told to go on total
disability but works full-time plus odd jobs (mostly hard labor) to support
his wife and three girls. He doesn't complain but he is clearly in
tremendous pain, sometimes crawling from his vehicle into his home after
work. He uses crutches around the house but cannot use them on the job.
Does anyone have experience providing Orthotic care for patients with Rieters
and similar symptoms? If so please provide any information which may help
provide him with some relief of his pain. Any reference sources would be
appreciated as well.
Thank you
