Received a RX for a Bent Knee Prosthesis with side-joints and leather lacer.
Client is an 83 YO male with a 50-55 degree knee flexion contracture. He
currently wears his old prosthesis* to transfer (*which was originally set
up with only 30 degrees of flexion). However, due to the present 20-25
degree discrepancy in knee flexion , he is forced to stand on his toe.
Any new ideas for bent knee prosthesis? Is this my best option? I would
also be interested in journal articles for reference. Thanks in advance,
Dave Hughes CPO, LPO.
