Hello,

I have been asked to assist in locating some images to be used in a
presentation which will present some historical prosthetic images. I do not
have access to the book which has these pictures, but am hoping that maybe
someone out there could help. My deadline is approaching quickly, so I
would appreciate a quick response from anyone who is willing to assist.

The images that I am looking for are probably in more publications than the
one that I have a reference to, so if you have these or similar images I
would be most thankful. Please contact me via e-mail so that we can discuss
how we would get the images from you to me. Digital scans would be the most
appropriate, but if you have slides, we can scan them and would pay for
shipping both ways.

Thank you.

The images are in a book entitled: Amputation Prosthesis by Chester Haddan
and Atha Thomas, MD

They can be found on pages 3 figure 1 (Roman artificial legs from 300 BC)
and 2 (1509 hand worn by Geotz Von Berlichingen) , page 4 figure 3 (Paret
artificial leg 1564), page 8 figure 6 (Blye's Anatomical leg from 1858),
page 77 figure 57 ( Army provisional AK prosthesis), Page 79 figure 59
(conventional willow wood prosthesis), page 80 figure 60 (conventional
wooden foot), page 94 figure 68 (shoulder suspension), page 194 figure 145
(leather forearm prosthesis), page 203 figure 151 (image of cineplasty
forearm amputation).

Thanks again, and I really appreciate your assistance.
