Forequarter form help

Text:
I have a new patient/client/female person who had a forequarter amputation in
May 1999. An irritation began at the exact site of a flu innoculation which
she rec'd in November 1998, cancer grew rapidly and wrapped itself around the
bones and choked off circulation.
Her desire is to have me design a shoulder form that would be firm enough to
support a bra strap at the shoulder. Then I'd like to make a velcro
attachable soft humeral portion that she could use as she wishes to fill out
her sleeves in her garments. I will be casting the torso on the sound side
as soon as she finds a suitable halter style bra. I'll use 6 layers of nylon
applied individually painting each with latex paint so that I can have it
flexible enough to reverse.
What would be your suggestions for materials to use for the form? I
anticipate using some suspension that would go under the other underarm.
My main concern at this point is to have a material that will be firm enough
to withhold the weight of the fairly large breast tissue.
Any suggestions will be appreciated.
