I am trying to get information about a cybertech LSO. I have not heard of this before.
If anyone can give me any information, it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

I am a RN interested in learning more relating to lower limb and upper limb
orthotics. I am not interested in learning all phases yet...just a basic
understanding. If you have additional information that may provie helpful or
beneficial please respond to the following questions. I do sincerely
appreciate your time. I am thinking of going back to school for additional
training, but would like to explore the unknown prior to doing so. Thank you.
I would like to receive information (names) of the orthotic industry
organizations. Are the organizations sensitive to your industry needs? On a
scale of 1-5 (1=Lowest 5=Highest) please rate the organizations on how
influential or vocal you think they are. Do they work for your best interest
and show productive results?
According to the 1999 HCPCS there are tons of L codes. Most appear to be
covered by insurance (Champus, Medicare, HMOs etc) with the exception of
certain clearly stated non covered items. Can anyone tell me if all of the
L codes are purchased off of the shelf? I realize some may require specific
patient fitting (custom fitted), are these particular items considered off of
the shelf? However, custom molded appears to be molded to a specific patient.
Would insurance reimburse at a higher rate individually for the custom molded
items?
If anyone can give me any information, it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
